Explore these pages and you'll learn about the exciting challenges the production of Grumpuss encountered and overcame. Experienced or novice writer, veteran or fledgling actor, storyteller, lover of epic poetry or simply a fantasy adventure fan, you have come to the right place!

Click on the Grumpuss Title Card (right), to see the pictorial essay about the former coffeehouse performer and rock 'n' roll singer-songwriter's considerations, deliberations and tribulations that ultimately resulted in the production of this historic, award-winning, bardic-style storytelling event. GRUMPUSS was a complete unknown, an unpublished original epic fantasy adventure to be performed entirely in rhyme, but Travis convinced himself (and several others), that it was a fairly straightforward proposition -- a gamble, to be sure, but all that was needed was a hook, a star, an historically exciting location (preferably steeped in the bardic tradition) and a little bit of luck.
